In its 8th consecutive year, the Y Kids Triathlon continues to attract hundreds of area participants to the kid-friendly triathlon course. Young athletes are encouraged to train through the summer, set personal goals and participate on August 7 to achieve their own personal goals. Medals are awarded to all participants who finish the race.
The event is organized by staff and volunteers of Central Bucks Family YMCA and all proceeds from the triathlon benefit the Y’s Annual Campaign, which ensures that individuals, youth, and families can participate in Y programs regardless of their ability to pay. Sponsors for the race include Penn Community Bank, Doylestown Health, Anne O’Day Orthodontics, GMG Insurance, and Adams Orthodontics.

Youth compete according to age with group including age 6-7, 8-9, 10-11, and 12-14. The Wee-Bee division for age 3-5 years is already filled and is no longer accepting registration. Race details and registration information can be found at cbfymca.org/kidstri. Race registration is $35 per child. Contact Rachel Mauer for additional information at 215.348.8131,x1167.

The Y is also seeking volunteers over the age of 13 to serve in a variety of roles at the race including course marshals, refreshments and awards table, and setup. A volunteer signup link is available on the Kids Tri page on the Y’s website at www.cbfymca.org.
