Y Staff Kinsey, Schwartzer Receive Seven Seals Award Honors
The Seven Seals Award recognizes “meritorious leadership and initiative in support of the men and women who serve America in the National Guard and Reserve” and is awarded by nomination. Presenting the award on Tuesday were George Lindsey and Theresa Arentzen from Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) and members of the first graduating class of the Y’s Veterans Wellness program.
“I’m very honored and proud,” said Lisa Schwartzer. “This means a lot for the future of our program, the reason we are here and why we continue to do what we do.” Said Matt Kinsey: “I feel very privileged to be able to work with this great group of people.”
The Y’s Veterans Wellness Program is free to community Veterans and a group that meets twice a week, for eight weeks. During that time, Veterans receive personalized support from personal trainers and Y staff. After graduating the program, each Veteran received a six-month adult membership to the Y. Veterans interested in future programs are encouraged to contact Matt Kinsey at firstname.lastname@example.org.
