Doylestown Y Plans Community Bash with Food Truck Friday 3
Central Bucks Family YMCA continues to celebrate their 50th year of impact in Doylestown with a community bash on September 9 (4:30-9:30pm) with their third Food Truck Friday event. The Y hosted hugely popular food truck events in May and September of 2015. The entire community is invited and the event is free of charge.
Confirmed food truck vendors include The Cow and the Curd, Bonjour Creperie, The Tot Cart, Sweet Pea Ice Cream, Mac Mart, Oink and Moo BBQ, Sum Pig, Sweet Box, Pizza Wagon, Ninas Ice Cream and Poi Dog. Beer and wine will be supplied by Doylestown Brewing Company and Sand Castle Winery. Jim Barone, an Elvis tribute band, is the mainstage act with Lolly and YoYo set to entertain younger children from 5:30-6:30pm.
This year a new VIP option is available to those who want to experience Food Truck Friday at a more elite level. This event serves as a fundraiser for the Y’s community impact programs and Bucks Beautiful community garden programs including the future Phil Eiseman Memorial Garden at the Y. The Gale Nurseries Pop Up Beer Garden will be available to adults for $50 per ticket. The garden will feature ornate topiaries and conversational, seating away from the hustle and bustle of the food truck event. The ticket price includes a three-drink bracelet (toward beer or wine) and souvenir cup. Space is limited.
Proceeds from the evening benefit the Y’s annual campaign, which provides funding for programs like financial assistance, THRIVE cancer wellness program and free 7th grade memberships. 50/50 tickets will be sold throughout the evening to benefit the Y Preschool.Visit the event page here
