THRIVE-ing Survivors Host 4th Annual Beef and Beer Fundraiser
Graduates of the THRIVE cancer wellness program at the Central Bucks Family YMCA will host their fourth annual Beef & Beer on Saturday, November 5, at the V. E. German Club in Warminster. Tickets cost $40 per person, and include food, beer, wine, and dancing. Auctions, 50/50s, and raffles will offer opportunities to leave with great prizes, and all proceeds directly benefit the Y’s THRIVE program.
Graduates of the program, who dubbed themselves “THRIVE-ing Survivors,” created the fundraiser as a way to give-back to the program and ensure that it is available to those who need it in the future. THRIVE began with its first class in 2012 and continues as a 12-week cancer wellness training program designed for people who have become deconditioned or chronically fatigued from battling cancer. It includes a family membership to the Y for the duration of the program. THRIVE has graduated over 200 people and is provided free-of-charge thanks to the generosity of donors and sponsors.
The Beef and Beer will be held at the V. E. German Club, located at 130 Davisville Road in Warminster. Seating is limited and tickets are available only by advance sale. For more information, or to purchase tickets, donate raffle items, or make a monetary donation, please contact Mary Madison at firstname.lastname@example.org or stop by the Welcome Center at the Central Bucks Family YMCA in Doylestown.
