YMCA Doylestown Recognizes Youth Development Sponsor
Central Bucks Family YMCA is proud to recognize ScanSource as a sponsor of youth development programs at the Y including 7th grade initiative, 2nd grade swim and summer camp programs. Representatives from ScanSource, a national company with a local office in Doylestown, recently presented a check for $2,500 to support the Y.
The Y nurtures the potential of every child and teen by supporting their unique youth development journey through holistic programming. Central Bucks Family YMCA provides all youth with the tools and resources they need to succeed in life by offering programs for all ages, many provided to the community free of charge. Annually, 7th grade memberships are provided free to young teens and the 2nd grade swim initiative aims to test 2nd grade students in the area for safety around water, free of charge. All youth programs, including summer camp, provide financial assistance to families who need it. These programs are provided through the generosity of individual donors and corporate sponsors.
“Our company has been on a mission to provide employees with an opportunity to donate their time, money and resources to improve the communities where we live and work with a focus on children, education and community wellness. With that purpose at its core, the ScanSource Charitable Foundation helps employees form lasting bonds with organizations and people all while making an impact on their community,” said Tara Gormley, a local ScanSource employee. “We are happy to partner with the Central Bucks Family YMCA to further our mission,”
