Curriculum
Curriculum is developed with the whole child in mind, building self-esteem and offering learning opportunities based on children’s developmental needs. Teachers participate in learning centers with children asking questions and supporting learning, in addition to providing teacher guided lessons.
Learning opportunities also include lessons using PATHS (Promoting Alternative Thinking Strategies), Hand Writing Without Tears and Everyday Math. Children’s ages and developmental levels depict how each program is introduced into the classroom.
Accredited Staff
The Preschool is staffed by professional and caring teachers, most with their Bachelor’s degree and some working on their Master’s degree. Overall, the teachers have many years of collective experience in early childhood development. Teachers are required to continue their on-going education through Keystone STARS. In addition, all teachers have been trained in CPR, Blood Borne Pathogens, AED, and First Aid for the safety of all children attending. Each new hire must have a criminal child abuse background check, as well as an FBI clearance.
