Adventure Guides & Princesses

Over 75 years of developing the father-child relationship the YMCA's Guide and Princesses programs are the perfect opportunity to strengthen father-son and father-daughter relationships through activities that are challenging and fun! Fathers and children regularly convene in meetings and planned events and outings. Activities include stimulating creative projects and activities to enhance relationships while teaching the core principles of Character Development - Honesty, Caring, Respect and Responsibility. The program emphasizes the qualities of dignity, patience, selflessness, endurance spirituality, harmony with nature, and concern for the family and community. The Guide and Princess programs try to emulate these qualities and give the father a basis for a common interest and learning experience in working with and relating to his child. A code of conduct must be signed.

Sept - June, Dads and children share tribe meetings, games, camp-outs, parties, crafts, special events and more. Contact Jay DePue, 215-348-8131 x 143. Sept 09 - June 10: Saturday Night Swim 5:00 - 7:00 pm. MUST SHOW GUIDE/PRINCESS CARD TO ENTER $0 for Guides/Princesses; guest fee for others.

Child Watch - Beginning at 3 mths

Mon-Thu, 8:30 AM - 8:30 PM
Fri, 8:30 AM - 7 PM
Sat, 8 AM - Noon
Sun, 9:30 AM - Noon

For the convenience of parents while on the premises using Y facilities, your children may spend some fun time in Kiddie Kare. It is on a walk-in basis (max 2 hours per day; free for full privileged members). Please call ahead if plan to come after 7:00 PM. We will close early if there are no children.
