Planned Giving & Heritage Club

TIMELESS. Help to lay deep roots to sustain generations of growth. The Y is a stable, values-based and professionally managed organization that is in-touch with the needs of our community and capable of meeting the changing conditions in order to lead our community into the future. Hertitage Club members fill a special need for the Y by providing long-term resources that will benefit our Y's programs in perpetuity. As we look ahead, our Y is preparing for the future by building a permanent, growing endowment through planned giving bequests and other gifts by Heritage Club members.

AGELESS. Invest in your neighbors of all ages so that we might become an even stronger community. Your gifts to Central Bucks Family YMCA help to ensure that everyone, regardless of age, finances, ability or circumstances can access the support they need to live healthy, thriving lives. From the 7th grade initiative to the THRIVE cancer wellness program, the Y is meeting needs across generations.

PRICELESS.  Heritage Club membership is the most significant commitment that you can make to our long term mission. It provides the catalyst and resources to ensure the sustainability of our Y and its support to this community. Bequests and other gifts to the endowment by Heritage Club members help to promote the Y's core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility for self and others, along with healthy living, for future generations of children, youth, and adults.

At the Y, strengthening community is our cause--it was in 1965, is now and it will still be in 2050!

Anyone can be a philanthropist by making a planned gift to Central BUcks Family YMCA. All planned gifts are meaningful and some can cost nothing today, yet do so much for the future of our community.

1.  Make a bequest to Central Bucks Family YMCA in your will or trust.

2.  Realize the value of your retirement plan by making Central Bucks Family YMCA a beneficiary (full, partial or percentage).

3.  Consider a gift life insurance that your family has outgrown or making Central Bucks Family YMCA a partial or full beneficiary of your plan.

Charitable Gift Annuities

There's a way to sustain Central Bucks Family YMCA and the future health and well-being of our community, increase your retirement income and get a tax deduction.  A Central Bucks Family YMCA gift annuity is a simple contract between you and CBFYMCA. It's a smart way to receive retirement income at an attractive, fixed rate of return -- either now, or in the future.

Here's how it works:

You make an irrevocable gift to CBFYMCA using cash or securities

CBFYMCA gives you and/or another person fixed payments for life

You may claim a federal income tax deduction

It's that simple.

If you decide to fund your gift annuity with cash, a significant portion of the annuity income will be tax-free. You may make a gift of your appreciated securities to fund a gift annuity and avoid a portion of the captial gains tax.

If you desire current income, you may transfer property in exchange for our promise to pay you a fixed income beginning as early as this year. You will receive a current income tax charitable deduction for the value of your gift to Central Bucks Family YMCA. You may establish a gift annuity to benefit a loved one such as a friend, parent or child. In this case, you receive the charitable deduction and they receive the lifetime income. You may also establish a two-life gift annuity to benefit you and your spouse.

Perhaps you are not ready to begin receiving income until a future date, such as when you retire. You can establish a deferred gift annuity, receive a current charitable income tax deduction and receive payments at a designated future time. Best of all, because you deferred your payments, your annual payment will be higher than with a current annuity.

Memorial and Tribute Gifts

You can share your love for the community by giving a memorial gift or making a tribute gift to Central Bucks Family YMCA. Your donation is a meaningful way to remember a friend or loved one, or honor someone special while making a difference in the community.
