Part Time Positions (Non-Seasonal)

Preschool Teacher - (YMCA Preschool Location - New Britain)
We are looking for experienced, fun and creative teachers to join our team in our 2-3 year old classroom. Candidate must have 2 years experience, Bachelors degree with at least 30 credit hours in Early Childhood Education. Submit resume and cover letter.

Adapted Aquatics Instructors
The Y is searching for Swim Instructors who have demonstrated experience with individuals with Special Needs. Hours are part time and include evening and weekends. Must have educational experience in: Special Education, Social Work, Adapted Physical Education and/or Physical Therapy. Strong communication and organizational skills are important. After School Programs Leader
The Ability Department (for individuals with disABILITIES) is looking for someone to join their team and co-lead the after school programs for teens and adults with disabilities. Programs run September - June; Monday through Friday: Mon (2:00pm - 7:00); Tues - Fri (2:30pm - 5:00pm) (15 hours/week). This role co-teaches with at least one other instructor and volunteers. Requirements: Must be 18 years of age; Minimum of an Associate's Degree in a related field (including Social Work, Special Education, Rec Therapy, Adapted PE), previous classroom management experience, minimum of 2 years experience working with disabilities/special needs, Proficient in using Microsoft Office products. Job responsibilities include curriculum development and implementation for after school programs for teens and adults with disabilities/special needs; coordinating registrations and transportation needs; leading a group of individuals through activities that incorporate social skills, physical activity and swimming. Assistant Swim Coach
The Assistant Swim Coach plays a key support role during swim team practices as they facilitate technique development for each swimmer. Assistant Coaches will work hand-in-hand with the Head Age Group Coach to ensure swimmers are receiving adequate attention, encouragement and technique instruction throughout practices. Coaches must be lifeguard certified and have a strong knowledge of swimming technique. Contact

Youth Development Instructors
We are looking for dynamic instructors to teach our Parent/Child, Tumbling and Sports classes. Evening hours after 4pm available. Contact

Aquatics Swim Instructors
Experience preferred but not necessary. 10-15 hours per week varied hours available. Contact

Dance Instructors
Looking for a dynamic and creative certified dance instructor to teach youth dance classes. Classes are scheduled between 9am - 1pm and 4pm - 8pm at the YMCA. Please contact with resume and cover letter.

Group Exercise Instructors
The Y is looking for dynamic, experienced and fun group exercise instructors to commit to teaching evening and weekend classes. Must have current primary group ex or personal training certification and at least one year teaching experience. The best suited candidate would teach a high energy boot camp/interval style class. Responsible for guiding parents and children through the YMCA facility. Answer questions, set up/break down party room. Welcome guests and provide the best Birthday experience. Hosts work Friday evenings, Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Contact

Aquatics - Lifeguards
Certified lifeguards for various shifts, must be 16 yrs or older, competitive rates depending on certifications and experience. Contact
