2015 Seasonal Summer Camp positions

We are seeking energetic staff who are looking to serve as positive role models for our communities' youth. Must be at least 16 years of age by June 22, 2015. Applications accepted now through March 31, 2015.

  • Tennis Camp Lead Counselor
  • LIT (Leader in Training) Specialist- we are seeking a Specialist to facilitate our "Leader in Training" Camp this summer. The Camp is a service based offering that helps teens build healthy relationships, healthy lifestyles and leadership characteristics. Each week the LITs will complete a service trip as well as focus on a specific leadership theme. We are looking for an outgoing, respectful and motivated candidates.

Skate Park Coordinator (part-time )

Join our YMCA team and lead Skate Park programs while ensuring a fun and safe environment for all members and participants. We are looking for candidates with two years of skate park instructional experience and the ability to modify instruction to support all levels of learners. Previous supervisory experience is preferred.   CONTACT

Personal Trainer (part-time)

We are seeking an outgoing individual with early morning, evening and/or weekend availability for a Personal Training position. Position includes small group training in groups of five or more as well as one-on-one individualized training. Highly motivated interested parties must hold one of the following health and fitness certifications in personal training: ACE, AFAA, NASM, NSCA, ACSM or AAAI.
Responsibilities include program planning with proper progression/regression, scheduling, ability to teach groups, fitness evaluations as well as session tracking. CONTACT

Preschool Teacher, 8:15-12:45am, M-F, 12- month position

We are hiring a Preschool Teacher to work with 3 and 4 year olds. Candidates must have a minimum of an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in ECE with at least 18 credits in early childhood education courses. Responsibilities include lesson planning, classroom management, classroom arrangement, ERS standards, and DPW regulations. Position starts June, 2015. CONTACT

YMCA Preschool is located at Lenape Valley Church, 321 Butler Avenue, New Britain, Pa.

Preschool Assistant Teacher, 2:30-6:00pm, M-F (12- month position)

We are hiring Assistant Teachers to work with kids 2-6 years of age. Candidates must be 18 years of age or older and be able to work independently with groups of children. Responsibilities include classroom management, maintaining classroom ratios, providing care to children, ERS Standards, DPW regulations, health and safety. Youth Development Instructor: Track Coach (part-time )

We are seeking an individual interested in Track and Field who can coach our youth team from April to June. The team practices on Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings. CONTACT

Swim Instructor & Lead Swim Instructor (part-time)

Needed for mornings and afternoons; Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Must love kids and being in the water. We are willing to train. CONTACT

Lead Swim Instructor (part-time)

Experienced instructors needed. Must be 17 years old with at least 1 year in a recognized swim program. Varied shifts are available. CONTACT

Aquatic Fitness Instructor (part-time)

The Y is currently seeking an energetic fitness instructor to train our members in the water. All shifts available.  CONTACT

Swim Coach (part-time)

Experienced age group swim coaches are needed for our Dolphin Swim Team. Coaches will be responsible for the leadership of a practice group. Duties include teaching competitive swim skills, assisting with the organization of swim meets, practices and special events while ensuring the safety of participants. We require a USA or Y-USA swim instructor certification and an American Red Cross Lifeguard certification or the equivalent. We are currently seeking highly motivated Group Exercise Instructors, including instructors for  Yoga, Tai Chi, strength training, cardio, Les Mills, Zumba, Pound, step, active older adult and style classes. Must have experience and hold certifications.
