Philosophy
Central Bucks Family YMCA’s Preschool philosophy is to provide a safe and loving environment in which children can learn and grow. Children will learn through exploring their environment and through play. We emphasize caring, safety and fun - with the teacher as an active facilitator to increase your child’s learning experience.
Central Bucks Family YMCA Preschool has given hundreds of children a head start to the world of socialization, creativity and education over the past several years. For many of the children attending the preschool it is their first experience away from home. The Y Preschool is committed to your children not only being safe, but welcomed. It is the Y’s expectation that every child is treated as an individual and in turn the programs are tailored to meet those needs. The Y works consistently to meet the Department of Public Welfare guidelines for teacher-to-student ratios and standards. The Preschool is also part of Keystone Stars with a curriculum based on PA standards.
Community Connection
The Y’s mission promotes four character traits: respect, responsibility, honesty and caring for all people. They pride themselves on exposing the children to caring about their community.
