Youth Sports and Leagues

The Y is the starting point for many youth to learn about becoming and staying active, and developing healthy habits they’ll carry with them throughout their lives. And the benefits are far greater than just physical health. Whether it’s gaining the confidence that comes from learning a sport or building the positive relationships that lead to good sportsmanship and teamwork, participating in sports at the Y is about building the whole child, from the inside out.

Junior Sixers Basketball

jr sixers new1League runs: Saturdays, December 10 to February 4
Age Groups:
 3 yrs, 4 to 5 yrs, 6 to 7 yrs, 8 to 9 yrs, 10 to 12 yrs

Cost: $125/members, $198 Nonmembers
Registration deadline: November 20

During the 2017-2018 season, players/coaches will receive:
•  Reversible Junior Sixers jersey and shorts
•  One (1) Sixers game ticket/voucher to be used at our Sixers game (date TBD)
•  Access to coaching resources on the Junior Sixers website

Soccer for Success (Warminster)

For Centennial School District students only
September 26 - December 1

soccer for successThe US Soccer Foundation Program, Soccer for Success is being offered FREE for children ages K-8. Our Warminster branch is pleased to offer Soccer for Success, a 12-week program dedicated to helping children, K-8, establish healthy habits and develop critical life skills through the game of soccer and family engagement.

Registration is required.  Registration forms can be found here. Please return to Welcome Center or email a copy to bdobra@lbfymca.org

Each participant will receive a Nike soccer ball, shin guards, and a team shirt by the end of the league.  Each team will have 2-3 coaches to help them with learning the game, running practices, and be the leader on game day.

All Ages | Join us for weekly play time and friendship!  We are a group of parents who want to connect with fellow parents while having some fun with the kids. Playgroup is based on member interests and informally led by Y Staff. Time is allotted for getting-to-know-you activities, parenting topics and lots of play!
