Youth Sports and Leagues
The Y is the starting point for many youth to learn about becoming and staying active, and developing healthy habits they’ll carry with them throughout their lives. And the benefits are far greater than just physical health. Whether it’s gaining the confidence that comes from learning a sport or building the positive relationships that lead to good sportsmanship and teamwork, participating in sports at the Y is about building the whole child, from the inside out.
Spring Youth Sports Leagues
Our seasonal youth sports leagues offer something for every child and family. Try something new or learn new skills of your favorite sport.

I began my career at the Y in October 2006 working in the Fitness Center as a Fitness Coach. My journey in Healthy Living Fitness allowed me the privilege of serving in many different roles and has given me unique perspective as a Senior Leader. In January of 2014 , I took a step out of my comfort zone as Director of Healthy Living Fitness and accepted the role of Senior Director of HL, shifting to my current home of Aquatics and Ability Programs. My journey as taught me that I believe in the Y 's mission to serve the community, positively impacting our members one person at a time.
I have a B.A. in Behavioral Science with concentration in Psychology from Messiah College, Harrisburg, PA and have earned the Y- USA Team Leader and Listen First Training certificates. I'm also a certified in Advanced Health & Fitness Specialist, ACE, Certified Personal Trainer and American Red Cross CPR, AED & First Aid Responder.
Working for the Y is a family affair! All three of my children are currently working for a Y in different capacities- my son is working at the Brandywine YMCA Association as the Director of Digital Communication, my elder daughter works as a POUND and Zumba instructor as well as a Fitness Coach and my youngest daughter works as a lifeguard, swim instructor and in membership as a WOW representative. Someday we may just start our own YMCA!

Fit Kids (5 to 12 yrs)
Get up and moving! Fun fitness training for kids.
Gaga and Games (6 to 12 yrs)
Jump, Run, Tumble, Fun (under 12)
Kids Yoga (6 to 12 yrs)
Focus on learning breathing techniques to help calm and center. Kids also learn poses to help with balance, strength and flexibility.
Pickup Sports (8-12 yrs))
Power Play - Youth Cardio Fitness (4 to 12 yrs)
Have fun using a variety of equipment to increase heart rate while listening to popular music. Plyo jumps, push-ups, planks, and more! Physically challenging but highly fun!
Pre-Teen Dodgeball (8 to 12 yrs)
All Ages | Join us for weekly play time and friendship! We are a group of parents who want to connect with fellow parents while having some fun with the kids. Playgroup is based on member interests and informally led by Y Staff. Time is allotted for getting-to-know-you activities, parenting topics and lots of play!
Y PLAY (4 to 12 yrs)
Play for 30 minutes at the Y! Focus is to keep kids active during the after-school hours. Emphasizes activity through sports and active games.
