Central Bucks Family YMCA welcomes individuals of all abilities and continues to support their needs as health seekers with knowledgeable staff, professional instructors, and supportive programs.
An ABILITY membership is available to those who qualify offering membership and programs at a reduced rate. The membership is designed so that members can be safe and successful while using the facility or participating in programs, with the assistance of a caregiver.
Club After 2
Join peers in a safe and social afterschool environment featuring all the YMCA has to offer. Activities rotate daily and include swimming, fitness, field trips and volunteerism as well as team building and games. Students are encouraged to participate by trained staff and volunteers. Program is designed for students ages 12-21 with intellectual or developmental disability or Autism Spectrum Disorders.
Ability Teen Night
Ability Teen Nights are generally offered the 2nd and 4th Fridays of the month (please check events schedule to verify dates, especially around holidays)

ABILITY - Programs for Youth
Ability Holiday Camps
Send your child to the Y for their best day off from school ever! Kids will enjoy fun activities such as art, music, and games in the morning followed by outside sports and games, and swimming in the afternoon.
ABILITY - Teen Night
Typically held the 2nd and 4th Friday of the month. Activities include swimming, dancing, sports, games and more! Payment is cash at the door, typically $5 for members, $10 for nonmembers unless otherwise indicated.
ACHIEVE (9 to 14 years)
Connections. Play. Friendships. ACHIEVE. A program for individuals with socialization goals that promotes connection, character development and interpersonal skills though activities and play that may lead to relationships and friendships. Program participants will work hand in hand with same-age, typical peers (buddies), mentors and an Ability instructor to learn these core skills and practice them week to week.
Adapted Aquatics - Group
Focus on water acclimation, self-confidence, and beginnings swimming skills on their front, back and side. Participants are encouraged and taught how to voluntarily submerge while standing and swimming. Ratio 1:4

After School Program for students ages 12-21
Fit Me (age 6-17)
FitMe is small-group and individual fitness instruction for children and teens with special needs. Led by a pediatric physical therapist, small groups of individuals will participate in strength, endurance, and flexibility activities incorporating coordination, balance, socialization, and FUN! An open gym space encourages functional strengthening and whole-body movement. Prior to enrollment, participants will receive a one-on-one consultation with the instructor to review medical history, assess current fitness and mobility levels, discuss goals, and determine best class placement. One-on-one instruction is also available. A written physician clearance to participate in exercise is required.
