Survive UR Drive

Survive UR Drive is an interactive, hands-on program designed by teens for teens. Created in fall of 2013 in response to an increased number of fatal, teen automobile accidents on area roads, the Fred Beans family of dealerships, Central Bucks Family YMCA, Central Bucks Regional Police Department, Buckingham Township Police Department, and TMA Community Traffic Safety Program, collaborated with local teens to create a hands-on program designed to give direct, realistic information about distracted driving to local teens.

The program includes a panel discussion with local police departments, emergency medical response personnel, a criminal defense attorney, and those directly affected by distracted driving accidents. In addition to updates about junior and senior driver’s license privileges, "what if" scenarios are also discussed. The afternoon concludes with participants testing their driving skills in various distracted scenarios in golf carts on a closed course. Parent participation is highly recommended. Lunch will be provided courtesy of the Fred Beans Organization.
