Do you have a child with special needs that wants to go to camp? We can help. Our program invites and supports children that have various disabilities including physical, developmental, behavioral and learning. Campers with special needs will be placed in an age-appropriate day camp with their peers. Please review our requirements to ensure our campers with special needs have the best experience at camp:

1. Any child who currently has in-class support during the school
day year is required to have support at camp to ensure each child
has a safe and successful experience while here at our Y. You can
contact your school support program or your child's service provider
for information about obtaining summer support.

2. The child’s needs or behaviors should not pose any physical or
emotional threat to themselves, other campers, or staff. If the child
requires intervention to correct behaviors, a wrap-around is expected
to attend camp with them to help support/correct appropriate behaviors.

3. All children are expected to participate in all the camp activities;
activities will be adapted to fit campers needs within reasonable
accommodations.

If your child has a special need, please contact the Camp Director prior to the start of camp at 215-348-8131, x 1147.
