NEW! Firefighter Cadet Camp
Joint project between the Y's Camp Takoda and Doylestown Fire Company No. 1. Activities expose campers to fire and life safety procedures aimed to keep campers, their families and friends safe. Campers are trained to look for hazards in the home, the importance of smoke detectors, what to do when calling 9-1-1, fire and crime prevention tips, and a fun way of experiencing what firefighters do every day. Also feature visits from local police, Central Bucks Ambulance Squad, and the Bucks County Mobile 9-1-1 Emergency Communications Center. Campers meet Mon-Thur at the Warden Road Firehouse and includes a Thursday evening family night when the "fire cadets" graduate and show their new-found skills and knowledge to family and friends. Camp concludes on Friday with a field trip to the Philadelphia Fireman's Hall Museum. Campers receive a hat and T-shirt and are included in any safety presentations during the course of Camp Takoda.

Production Camp - Plumstead Christian School
This summer, Production Camp will be performing 'The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley.' Focus is solely on the creation of the final performances. Children may choose to be involved by acting, singing, and dancing, or making props and costumes, designing sets, and stage-managing. All campers experience the varying aspects involved with “putting on a show,” and work together as an ensemble toward the creation of the production. A mandatory meet-and-greet will take place before Production Camp for campers to meet their directors, express their interests, and show off their stuff! Casting decisions will be made from what is seen at the meet-and-greets. Campers bussed daily back and forth from the Y
