Y Program Volunteers

Our YMCA can always use more helping hands. At the Y, you can coach a sports team, help teach a child to read, or raise funds through our Community Support Campaign to ensure the Y is accessible to everyone in our community. Don't you want to help us make a positive difference in your neighborhood?

We provide volunteer opportunities that can fit your interests and schedule.

Scorekeepers are needed for our fall (and beyond) adult basketball leagues with games usually occurring on Monday and Wednesday evenings, 7-10PM. Scorekeepers will operate the electronic scoreboard while also recording points, rebounds, assists and fouls for all players on paper. Orientation will be provided to volunteers.

Use your talents to encourage, guide and train young athletes at the Y. We rely on volunteer coaches to lead our year-round sports leagues. Programs include a wide variety of sports including basketball, soccer, tee-ball and baseball. Contact the Y near you to see how you can get in the game.

We are seeking volunteers 7th grade and up to engage with our children in Child Watch. Volunteers would play with toys and games with smaller children. With older children, volunteers would assist with a craft or ensure kids are taking turns with games or the Xbox Kinect.
