Sharing and Teaching for all Abilities to Realize Self-Strengths
Sport, Fitness and Aquatic experiences for people with disabilities
The STARS Program is committed to providing premier adapted physical activities programs that reach out to the special needs population and their families in the local Central Bucks area. The populations we currently serve are individuals who have Developmental Disabilities, Physical Disabilities, Hearing Impairments, Speech and Language Disabilities, Learning Disabilities and Mental Health Disabilities.
Participants in our STARS programs will have the opportunity to have:
- Meaningful and fun activities for people with physical and/or cognitive disabilities, and will assist with affective (social), cognitive (thinking), psychomotor (physical) development.
- Least Restrictive Environment using the gymnasium, aquatic center and other fitness facilities.
- Qualified, educated, and certified Special Needs Instructors.
- This is also a great opportunity for athletes with special needs to gain skills, endurance, and strength to prepare for other competitive programs.
