SN SwimGROUP SWIM LESSONS

Little Swimmers
6 mths to 4 yrs 
(Parent/Child aquatics class) - Children learn aquatic readiness skills in a fun environment with songs and games. Swim diapers are required.

Beginner Swim - Level 1
4 yrs+ Water Park Pool
Willing to separate from parent/caregiver unless required for behavior or physical assistance - Learn to swim independently on front; work on developing breath control skills and swimming with face in the water.

Beginner Swim - Level 2
5 to 11 yrs
A beginner class for the advancing swimmer. Will learn swim skills on their back, floating, gliding/streamline position and will improve prone position. Intro to water safety.

Intermediate Swim
6 to 12 yrs and 13 yrs+ 
Able to swim independently from parents with face in the water, jump in pool and use little floatation - Intro to basic swim strokes on front and back, sit dives, rotary breathing and water safety.

Advanced Swim
8 to 14 yrs and 15 yrs+ 
May not use floatation belts - Work on improving strokes and endurance, diving (kneeling and standing), rotary breathing and water safety skills. (All diving will be practiced in the Traditional Pool.)

LAND CLASSES
Adapted Physical Activities

Intro to Sports
8 yrs+     Gym B
Progressive skill development. Students will participate in a variety of sports in a small group setting with peers. Siblings welcome!

Family Yoga
10 to 17 yrs     Studio D
Beginning Yoga for children with special needs. Enjoy the physical and mental health benefits of yoga. Class will focus on physical posture and breathing exercises to build strength, flexibility and stamina. Parent and siblings encouraged to attend. Great way to decompress.

Karate Kidz: Dragon Warriorz & Y Junior Karate (Int-Adv)
Dragon Warriorz I & II - 5 to 8 yrs 30 min     Studio D
Y Junior Karate (Mainstreamed) - 8 to 13 yrs  45 min    Studio C
Positive experience offering skills and tasks that can be accomplished with practice. Basic karate techniques mixed with interactive games and exercises to develop self-esteem and confidence. Children learn respect, humility, focus and discipline while getting exercise and having fun.

Biking 101
7 to 13 yrs  Outdoor Courts
Learn safe and effective cycling skills.

An opportunity for group lessons.

PRIVATE LESSONS
Flexible options for all levels once or twice a week. Instruction geared toward individuals who may benefit more from a personalized instruction setting.

One-On-One Swim
3 yrs to Adult
Participant will acquire water safety, swimming skills and self-confidence in private lesson working one-on-one with professional instructor. (Additional packages available).

One-On-One Fitness
10 yrs to Adult  8 half-hour sessions
Work one–on–one with a professional instructor to develop strength, balance, flexibility, cardiovascular fitness and functional skills. Workouts individually designed with participants goals in mind. (Additional packages available).

Special Needs Parent Committee
Meets every other month to discuss how the Y can best meet your needs through our Special Needs programming.
