Y’s New Outdoor Space to Honor Phil Eiseman

gardenRCentral Bucks Family YMCA is pleased to announce the creation of the Phil Eiseman Memorial Garden and Community Gathering Place.Phil Eiseman, founder of Eiseman Construction company in Doylestown, was a previous Y Board Member, widely regarded for his integrity and his respect for customers, family and community. He passed away in January 2015.

The concept and design for the Phil Eiseman Memorial Garden was inspired by his wife, Melissa, in collaboration with and support from Christine and Chuck Gale of Gale Nurseries. Central Bucks Family YMCA President/CEO Zane Moore and the members of the Buildings and Grounds Committee are grateful for the opportunity to honor Phil and his service to the Y.

Construction has begun on the space located adjacent to the Y's entrance and playground. The new outdoor area will serve as a social space for Y members and the Doylestown community. The area currently offers outdoor music along with access to Chambers 19 cafe inside the Y building. The garden will include benches and picnic tables with bistro umbrellas for outdoor gatherings. The first phase of the project is scheduled for completion in early May.

In the near future the space will also include a fountain sculpture to be erected in honor of beloved long time Y member Anita Nyari who passed away in December 2015.
