Zane Moore: Welcome Warminster
Hello Warminster and welcome to your Y!
For over 150 years YMCAs have been a cornerstone in communities across our nation, providing recreational programs, teaching life-saving skills, nurturing and educating children, and providing financial assistance to those who need help. Today, we’re a nonprofit organization of over 2,700 YMCAs with dedicated staff, volunteers and supporters in over 10,000 neighborhoods.
So, what does this mean for Warminster?
Since each YMCA association seeks to strengthen the foundation of the community it serves, simply: we are here for you!
For the past two years, we’ve been operating in Warminster as a “Y without walls” providing exercise classes, youth programs, swim lessons and summer camp. We’ve provided free swim safety testing to all 2nd graders in Centennial School District and free classes to those who qualified. We’ve distributed 800 free coats to youth and provided financial assistance to the families of 133 children for summer camp.
In total, we have provided over $105,000 in community impact.
Now, we’re ready to put down roots! We’re excited to open our first facility. You’ll see the great amenities and classes listed in this brochure. And, I assure you we are committed to providing programs that have a lasting impact on the community, like our 7th Grade Initiative program which provides free memberships to all 7th grade students.
In the coming months, we will offer additional impact programs to support our veterans, seniors and those suffering with chronic disease. Be a part of it all; join us now! Together we can make an impact on your family and our community!
See you at the Y,
Zane Moore, President/CEO
