YMCA Board Celebrate Impact, “I Give Wednesday” in Style
At a recent meeting of the board of directors for Central Bucks Family YMCA, board members and senior leadership donned their “I Give Wednesday” shirts to raise awareness of their annual campaign. The campaign raises funds for the Y’s community impact programs, provided at low or no-cost to the community.
Donations from individuals, corporate sponsors and grants make it possible for the Y to continue funding community impact programs including THRIVE cancer wellness, Veterans wellness, Living Active for active older adults, Empower U for teen girls, 7th grade initiative, 2nd grade swim programs and Diabetes Prevention.
During Wednesdays in May and June, Y staff members wear their blue “I Give” shirts to raise awareness and serve as a conversation starter about people who have been impacted by the programs. Central Bucks Family YMCA is a charitable nonprofit organization whose purpose is to improve the quality of community life.
